New international fashion pop-up at Topshop
We at ELLEUK.com have a huge soft spot for off-the-beaten-track design talent and were excited to hear that for a limited eight-week period Topshop will be turning over some of it's valuable floorspace to 12 new international designers in its 'EDIT' concession, a pop-up boutique showcasing fashion's emerging names.
Topshop is already reknowned for supporting emerging talent with their New Gen sponsorship, and continue to nurture new designers from as far as field a Columbia, Berlin and Sweden. Though geographically the collections may be far flung they all meet with their shared directional aesthetic and street style.
We've seen a sneak preview of the collections and stand-outs include (pictured), KTZ-UK by Marian Pejorskis, a collection inspired by Blade Runner and Kenyan tribal but encrusted with large jewels. We love White Trumpet: London/Paris designer Reno Inchenko’s bright geometric collections with origami folding and fringing, and the utilitarian feel subdued denim and cotton from Swedish eco-luxury label Camilla Norrback.
The pop-up will rotate the designers, with seven designers showing from 9th February for four weeks, then another five from 9th March until April.
